Kelvin Popplewick Rodrigues was expelled from his mother’s womb many years ago in England. His birthplace is given as London, presumably because he wanted to be near his parents at the time. From a young age he showed a remarkable ability to choose the right direction, most notably by growing up rather than down (we should point out, Kelvin has since developed a tendency to grow old, rather than up). He lives in London with two of his daughters and at a sufficiently respectable distance from his ex-wife. Kelvin can be found on Twitter @KelvinROfficial where he is most well-known for his inexplicably popular Twitter characters, Haskins and The Commander, whose whimsical adventures grace the #vss365 hashtag game every morning and feature some of the most egregious punning known to mankind. Through these staggeringly incompetent secret agents, Kelvin has somehow garnered quite the following on Twitter, which at the last count was “some.”

Kelvin Rodrigues has also penned serious works including “The Running Foxes” “The Wig Club” and “Mountchapel (notes only)” however, due to the quality of the work, it is unlikely they will ever see the light of day. Kelvin has in the past, been paid for his writing, but if we were to discuss this in any detail, several people would be legally required to return their Art and Design University degrees.

Kelvin’s current WIP is a full length adventure story featuring Haskins and The Commander, which contains the gentle humour and puns his characters are known for, as well as some slightly more ribald attempts at jokes. This is scheduled for release eventually.

Kelvin has often been accused of being funny and original, it is his lifelong ambition to one day be both at the same time.

We tasked a talented global writing community to produce their best work. We provided them with 37 challenging prompts. We gave them a strict 280 character limit.

From thousands of entries, we selected just 365.

What can be achieved with just 280 characters? On these pages you will feel the fabric of love and depths of loss, you will explore mortality and ponder what it truly means to be alive, you will find poetry, prose, wonder, despair, humour and courage.

Most of all you will find exceptional thought-provoking authors who are pushing their form to the very limits and beyond.

All royalties of this anthology go directly to a children's literacy charity.
